Smooth Operators was set up nearly two decades ago. Whilst a very aptly named job description, the faint sound of Sade being sung ominously is never far away. However now that it’s got your attention, there is more here than a cheesy pun.
Studying cabinet making and bricklaying may sound like an odd combination. But this is what started me on a journey to gain a broad spectrum of skills and a deeper understanding in construction.
Plastering is heralded as the highest skill in the building trade which propelled me into learning this trade during an intensive period with a third-generation plasterer. Since then, I am continuously enrolling on courses to keep up to date with new technologies as they arise. Anything that gives me the upper hand in providing an easier and better quality job.
First and foremost we are plasterers, experienced in every traditional aspect a plasterer should be. Not to be mistaken with just a fair weather skimmer, we plaster, render, screed and cove. Plus any caveat of that, dry lining, Venetian plasters, cornice, all renders, damp work and self-levelling compounds etc. We are specialists in levelling, flattening and smoothing surfaces. Up down and side to side.
We also excel in floor and wall tiling as plastering is the pre cursor to this.
These skillsets are necessary in kitchens and bathrooms. I subcontract to many fitters as well as kitchen and bathroom companies. I also offer a complete service to design, supply and install new kitchens/bathrooms. All remedial works necessary are managed, including the rip out, building work, electrics, plumbing, fitting and decorating. From start to finish.
With 15+ years of intensive experience, I have built up a team of experienced, reliable tradesmen, enabling me to take on jobs as a whole and project management. Throughout Crowthorne and Wokingham, we are familiar to most local reputable building firms as subcontractors.
Not your typical builders or plasterers, we have an acute eye for detail and take every effort to remain clean in your home.
